I think kicking TM off the site is too hard. You should have a different tier of punishiment. Maybe they lose some points off their rank. Or somehting else. Tm support the site for years! -

I would treat this the same way you do when dealing with stolen beats. Trying to pass off a construction kit’s demo beat as your own work, even if you used sounds from one of the kits, is misleading.
There’s a difference between using tools and resources to create something yourself and claiming someone else’s finished work as your own.
It’s about transparency, originality, and integrity. Ultimately, trying to take credit for work you didn’t actually create says a lot about your character and shows a level of dishonesty that shouldn’t be accepted. 💯🫡👍 -

We should have roc go live and have a conference

Now that you know they have done this, how can you trust they won't keep doing it if they are allowed to continue battling?
-

@INOTECH3D lol you know how many people do that ?No bullshit sample packs demos rule the world on here ...y'all opening a can of worms lol half the site gonna take they beats off they profile...and if you paying attention soon as fats said this people starting deleting beats off they page...my thing is if you banning people?Make sure this goes for everybody because when I use to shazaaam dudes that shh went ignored -

It's a slap in the face to producers that really work hard on their craft going up against someone that just took a whole construction kit, didn't change anything and said "it's mines now" and battling the beat against a producer that plays all their music, not cool "in my opinion" that's the same as writing a prompt to A.I. and battling the A.I. beat on here -

@jokeyent bro it don't matter what I say, you never gon agree with me on anything, I can say the sky is blue, you gon say no it's not its green, bro just kill it dawg, the proof is literally in the video foo 😂

@uncledavebeats actually I did...but u can't read...but you can't get mad when people comment on your battles and turn around and do the same shh...and it's with malicious intent...

@jokeyent I have logs. Nobody removed beats from their page without me knowing. I can see everything, including when people read threads and come back an hour later to comment. Everything is tracked so false narrative are not created to justify anything but the truth!!
I haven't banned anyone yet. What I'm interested in seeing is how the community reacts when an unknown producer violates the rules versus when a well-known producer does the exact same thing. Do we hold everyone to the same standard?
TM battled several beats from sample packs. So here's my question: What's the difference between using AI to create a beat that you didn't produce yourself and taking a beat from a sample pack, without chopping, rearranging, or reproducing anything, and uploading it virtually identical as your own production?
I'm genuinely interested in hearing how the community sees the difference. -

@INOTECH3D that part 💯 -
#12
@jokeyent, if people quit a beat battle site because they can't use stolen beats, we don't need them here! I'd much rather have a beat battle site with real producers.
-

@uncledavebeats no I thought we was in the battle not the forum...shh is not cool I agree with you....the point here is should he be banned for life that's the argument ...should he be punished yes...banned ?That's like giving someone the death penalty on they 1st offense..it's going to be hard enough gaining back the respect of the community...but it's been done many times before people have been caught beat jacking lost respect and came back and gained it back...

@INOTECH3D facts quit ...the question is should he be banned ...and I'm not arguing shh was not acceptable...lotta people quit from embarrassment but come back anyway ...not saying names but it's been done...
-
#17
@FatFingers several? That's different you put up that one battle ...I am not aware of him repeatedly doing that...but of he did that I can't defend that...
-
#18
@FatFingers, there is no difference. It should not matter who the individual is; the same rule applies to all. It's dishonest, and it's a slap in the face to those of us who have been putting in real work to develop real skills.

Just so you all know, no one has been banned from ROCBATTLE yet. When we exposed the two prompt producers, they both gracefully left the platform on their own. This is just another situation where someone exposed a producer for using full sound packs and loops in their battles. And to be truthful, I think battling a beat made with Suno would be LESS of a violation than battling a beat straight from a sample pack. At least with AI, you have to give it instructions, describe what you want, and it creates something based on an idea you provided.
But taking preconstructed loops and kits, barely changing anything, and entering them into a beat battle as your own production? That's beyond lazy, and in my opinion, it's fraudulent.
We're here to battle producers and their production skills, not see who can find the best pre-made beat in a sample pack.Just my opinion. 💯 -

this is a tough one... lol! -

@jokeyent No, she did not. Beats don't have to appear on your public profile. When you upload a beat, you have the option to choose whether or not you want it displayed on your page.
The logs clearly show that she never had those beats displayed on her public profile. Furthermore, before any of this happened, when I first noticed her battling, I personally visited her public profile, and there were no beats displayed then either.
And this is exactly why I'm here, to make sure false narratives aren't being created or spread. I have the facts and the logs to back up everything I say. I'm not speaking from assumptions or speculation. I'm speaking from what I can actually verify. 💯 -

with so many additives to production, Splice, Arcade, Soundpacks, especially splice, it makes the conversation a tough one to decide.. honestly...
-
#28
@Rockwilder I'm not against using kits at all it's the using the demo beats that come with it for your battle or just drag and dropping the whole kit and not changing or adding anything of your own and then trying to pass it off as yours beat tag and all
-
#29
@Rockwilder the license that comes with those kits matter of fact says your not to use the demos as your own or attempt to post them or sell them

@Rockwilder I don't use none of that sht, I admit the only new tech I use is A.I. Stem separation for sampling, I want to know now is that a violation? back then you had to wait for a drum break on a James Brown record, now you can get the whole drum, music, bass, etc. tracks separated, is that a violation if you're still chopping up the samples like you normally would but just with track separation using A.I.??
